Dental Office History – Moorestown, NJ
Learn More About Where We Started
In 1989, Dr. Mark Walker took over Dr. Reid Porter’s dental practice. His goal was to put the word “family” in family practice. He practiced several months in Dr. Porter’s house before moving to E. Third Street, where he hired his first assistant and hygienist. His only rule then and still today is: “do what is right for the patients and the staff and treat them like family.”
In 1993, Dr. Frank Truskoloski heard how Dr. Walker was doing things and asked him if he would take over his practice, which he did. With the practice flourishing and the staff growing (some have been with him for almost 30 years now!), he moved to the present location in 1996. Dr. Land joined the practice a few years later. Mark (he prefers to be called that by patients and staff) has felt truly blessed to work alongside Suzanne.
Today, with the dental office being how he envisioned, Dr. Walker has been able to step aside with confidence that his patients are in great hands. He now has more time to spend with his family, play even more golf and caddy in some PGA events.
Dr. Walker’s Background
After studying at Rutgers College, Dr. Walker achieved his dental doctorate at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ – in fact, he graduated #2 in his class! Over the past few decades, he has been a Top Dentist in South NJ for multiple years, working hard to care for patients and support such a stellar staff. This dental practice means the world to him.
Dr. Walker is happily married to his wife Colette, and they have three grown children. Their youngest, Chelsea, was actually on season 39 of Survivor! They also have three amazing grandchildren, who will see a lot more of him now that he’s retired.
